Medical insurance support policies will be refined categorically, he said.

The critical illness insurance scheme will better coordinate with basic medical insurance schemes to improve insurance benefits, according to the meeting, which also highlighted the improvement of the major illness relief mechanism for disadvantaged groups.

A mechanism will be improved where treatment is provided before medical bills are paid in the event of major outbreaks, and policy measures for maternity insurance will be improved, according to the meeting.

The development of the multi-level diagnosis and treatment system and medical consortia will be advanced, and eligible primary-level medical institutions will be listed as designated medical insurance institutions to improve primary-level medical services, according to the meeting.

Centralized bulk drug procurement will continue to be implemented, and drugs with high clinical value and notable patient benefits will be reimbursed in a timely manner under basic medical insurance schemes, the official added. meeting.

The meeting also highlighted the improvement of medical insurance management services and the intensification of monitoring of medical insurance funds.
