Insurance group embarks on raising awareness of life and medical insurance

Making sure your life and medical expenses are covered by an insurance plan is one of the surest ways to live a life with fewer worries. That is why; the insurance company of Africa (ICA) has undertaken an awareness campaign with government departments and agencies to inform employees of the need and benefits of being covered.

ICA’s awareness raising activity on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, took a high-powered delegation including executives from the company to the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT), the American parliament in monrovia and met with a range of officials, including the deputy minister, the director and ministry staff.

During the deliberation, the benefits of being covered by life and medical insurance policies were thoroughly discussed by the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. G. Varney Gray as well as the expected contributions of each employee.

And in response, employees, through the secretary general of their union, expressed their satisfaction and their desire to participate in politics. Mr. Jemual J. Kullie, said he was particularly excited to join the ICA family, not least because of its reputation and credibility.

He explained that it had been a long time since workers had an insurance plan. And it was agreed that the two parties would begin implementing the policy after the remaining modalities are concluded.


The ICA delegation which included G. Varney Gray Head marketing, Nicholas O. Mingle Sales Manager, Supervisor Massa Jallah, Leonora Edo Bendu, Marketing Assistant and Catherine N. Gbokpa Sales Representative met with the workers of the Charles Gbenyon Conference Hall of the Ministry, and members of the hierarchy of the Ministry present were the Deputy Minister for Administration, Hon. Jurah AM Sanoe and the Director of Human Resources Ms. Lucia Gibson.

The insurance company of Africa also known as ICA was established in 1969 by an Act of the National Legislature. It is the pioneer of the insurance industry in Liberia being the oldest insurance company.
