Pasco plans director changes at 6 schools, with more on the way

Six elementary schools in Pasco County are about to have new principals. The opening of a new school and a retirement caused a domino effect of movement.

The recommendations are:

Jennifer Jaworski, currently Principal of Mittye P. Locke Elementary, would move to Pine View Elementary. She would replace Kay Moore, who has led the school since 2013 and is retiring.

Christina Twardosz, currently principal of Sand Pine Elementary, would transfer to Mittye P. Locke. The Sand Pine position has been advertised.

Shirley Ray, currently principal of Woodland Elementary, would become principal of Achieve Center Wesley Chapel, an alternative school opening in the fall.

Clara Craig, currently Principal of Gulfside Elementary, will transfer to Woodland. Gulfside’s main job has been announced.

Nominations are expected to be presented to the school board in June. Other significant changes are expected over the summer. The district is also announcing seven assistant managers and a head coach.
