Meverything has deteriorated in Kuwait in recent years, including almost all fields and sectors, leaving nothing to be proud of as a nation, and all because of the deterioration of education.

Destroying a country in the modern age does not require occupying and sabotaging it, or hitting it with nuclear bombs, but it can be done ignoring cheating, and the patient will die at the hands of the doctor and the building will collapse on the heads of its occupants, the economy will be wiped out, values ​​will collapse and the government administration will be completely destroyed.

What is really confusing is that the people concerned have not yet understood it and the fact is that all the countries which have advanced have been credited with their education systems. The poor education system is behind all the collapsed countries and there may be other reasons, but they remain secondary.

Some officials noticed the persistent low level of education, so committees were formed and made recommendations followed by others and all ended with nothing, and it was for a reason and known only to a few .

Then other officials came and decided to draw on the expertise and experiences of other countries and the World Bank. They took a close look at the Singaporean experience and also took a close look at the Finnish experience. So many reports were prepared that ended up in the drawers of the Ministry to pick up dust and the millions of dinars that were spent on the preparation of these reports were lost, the deterioration continues and the reason is only known to a few. -a.

Corona hit us and the painful reality revealed itself even more. A group of citizens who sensed the tragedy of the educational situation took the initiative, far from the government, to try to find a solution to our dangerous backwardness.

A national initiative has emerged to reform and develop education with the participation of teachers and educators, including Isra Al-Issa, Ohood Al-Asfour, Ali Al-Kandari, Fatima Al-Hashem, Abdullah Al-Failakawi, Ibrahim Al-Houti and Youssef Al-Mahmeed participated, and in cooperation with a larger group, where they put their ideas and experiences into a 156-page book accurately describing the state of education, and they have ended with a set of recommendations that have been made available and for the consideration of the government. .

By invitation, I attended the symposium hosted by the wonderful group above, with the aim of explaining their initiative, and I felt pain reading the anxiety in their eyes and the extent of the responsibility. they were facing and their fear was visible on their faces. in case these efforts fail.

My participation in the symposium was not from a pedagogical point of view, due to my ignorance of this specialty, but rather from a political point of view, and this may not be achieved by all parties who have faced the educational development process.

For forty years, the authority has allied, openly or implicitly, with the Brotherhood, and handed them the reins of education. Over the decades we have seen how he appointed liberal education ministers, or those who emulate them in exchange for empowering Muslim Brotherhood supporters and Salafists in education policies and programs.

Authority has allowed them to control the educational process, who is the teacher, and has prevented politicians from approaching or changing their representatives in the ministry. This happened with all the education ministers except those who respected themselves and left because there was nothing they could do.

The policy of appeasement within the National Assembly, and the submission of the government to the demands of conservative representatives, and the acceptance of the appointment of senior education officials according to their will without regard to the sabotage and destruction that the appointed through intermediaries will talk in the minds of future generations, with the total absence of any clear and binding educational project for all and not flexible.

We conclude and say, repeating what we have previously mentioned and written through dozens of articles and occasions that the big secret behind the delay in education and the loss of any hope for educational, cultural or even renaissance economic lies in the profound influence of religious currents within the state.
