Wellness Wednesday: What you need to know about life insurance

The next free seminar in the Wellness Wednesday Financial Education series, on March 16, is about life insurance. There are two one-hour sessions at noon and 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (9 a.m. and noon Pacific Standard Time).

“There’s more to life insurance than just paying final expenses,” said Wayshak Hill, VA program analyst for the Wellness Wednesday Financial Education program.

This session details ways to use life insurance and can help you determine how much life insurance you need. It will also discuss the different types of life insurance and how to match the options with your personal situation.

Previous seminars in the series have covered paying off student loans, taxes, buying a home, managing a job change, paying for college, budgeting, emergency savings funds and advice for a healthy financial life. The seminars have consistently received high marks from attendees.

Participants also have access to Financial Wellness Centera learning-focused digital portal, with over 100 short educational articles and interactive tools that include financial self-assessment, budgeting, and student loan help and advice.
